Senior Pastor – Rob Ginter

Rob Ginter became the senior pastor of Farmdale Baptist Church in 2022. He is a graduate of Morehead State University, and The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. He is currently pursuing his PhD in Biblical Studies (Preaching) from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He is a native of Morehead Kentucky, where he was a youth and associate pastor for seven years and led teams in sidewalk evangelism on the local university campus. Before coming to Farmdale, he worked in ministry in Georgetown and Lexington and was a writer and sports editor. He has been happily married to his beautiful wife Samantha since October of 2015. They have three children. He enjoys the Dallas Cowboys, Atlanta Braves, chicken nachos, fountain pens and collects bobbleheads.

Jonathan is a native of Lexington, KY. He and his wife Jenny have 2 children, Brianna and Owen. He is a graduate of the University of Kentucky (B.A. in Communication, 2005) and the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary (M.Div. in Christian Ministry, 2009). Jonathan is also certified with the Association of Certified Biblical Counselors.

Worship Leader
Ben Simmons

Ben begin serving in full-time ministry in 2020 after moving from Northern Virginia to Louisville in mid-August. He joined the ministry at Farmdale in March 2026. Ben grew up in Northern Virginia and attended Liberty University to pursue undergraduate music and worship studies. Ben is currently a student at the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary where he is hoping to complete an MDiv. When he is not involved in musical endeavors, Ben also enjoys a wide array of outdoor activities including triathlon, soccer, trail running, tennis, and of course…pickleball.

Tommy Goins

Tommy is a native of Frankfort, KY and a graduate of Georgetown College where he graduated with a B.S. in Business Administration and Economics, and a minor in music. He has been serving the Lord as pianist at Farmdale for over 30 years.
